About A Cut Above

HI! I am Lisa Hardwick owner of A cut Above in Myrtle Beach, SC. I am the mother of a beautiful 25 year old young lady, and daughter of Steve and Mary Hardwick of Upholstery by Steve located in Murrells Inlet, SC. My dad has been in the Upholstery business since I was a kid, so I've been around the industry my entire life, and learned to sew well before I could drive. I worked at Upholstery by Steve and with my parents for over 20 years doing slipcovers, cushions, bedding, window treatments, and more. When my parents got to the ages where they were contemplating partial retirement, I was encouraged to start A Cut Above. I have always found pleasure in artistic projects, but I love designing slipcovers most of all! Outside of sewing, I enjoy painting, music, movies, video games, board game nights and Sunday dinners with my family.
